Privacy Policy

Account details: your email address, your name, and a securely hashed version of your password (we never store your password in plain text).

Study data you create: subjects, study blocks, sessions, topics, notes and progress.

Subscription status: whether you have Premium and when it renews (card details are handled by our payment provider, not stored by us).

Basic technical data needed to run the service, such as your device's approximate region (from your locale) to show the right price and reminders.

We do not track your location, contacts, photos, or browsing outside the app. We do not run third-party advertising trackers. Study reminders are scheduled locally on your device.

To provide the app: store your study data, sync it across your devices, and calculate your streaks and analytics.

To send you the reminders and account emails you've enabled (for example password resets, receipts, and optional product updates you can unsubscribe from).

To keep the service secure and working, including rate-limiting abuse.

Your data is stored on your device and on our database provider (Neon, PostgreSQL). Transactional and product emails are sent through our email provider (Resend). Payments are processed by Paystack. These providers process data on our behalf under their own security terms.

You can delete your account any time from Profile → Delete account. This immediately and permanently removes your account and all associated study data (subjects, schedules, sessions, topics and progress) from our database.

If you can't access the app, email hello@trydevote.com from your registered address and we'll delete your account for you.

We may retain minimal records where required by law (for example, payment/tax records held by our payment provider).

You can turn reminders on or off in Profile, unsubscribe from product emails via the link in any email, edit your name, and delete your account at any time.

Devote is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we'll remove it.

If we change this policy materially, we'll notify you in-app or by email. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
