Terms of Service

You must be at least 13 years old to use Devote. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you should have a parent or guardian's permission.

You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for everything that happens under your account.

You give us a valid email address and a name of your choosing. You are responsible for the accuracy of that information and for keeping your password confidential.

You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete account. Deletion is immediate and permanent — see our Privacy Policy for what that removes.

Your study data — subjects, schedules, sessions, topics and progress — belongs to you. You grant us permission to store and process it only to provide the app to you (for example, to sync it across your devices and calculate your analytics).

The app works offline. Your data is stored on your device first and synced to our servers in the background when you have a connection.

Devote offers optional Premium features for a recurring fee, shown in your local currency before you pay. Payments are processed by our payment provider (Paystack); we do not store your full card details.

Premium renews automatically until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from Profile; you keep Premium until the end of the period you already paid for. Fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by law.

Use Devote only for lawful, personal study purposes. Do not attempt to break, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the app or its servers, and do not use it to harm others.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the service or these terms.

We work to keep Devote reliable, but we provide it “as is” and cannot guarantee it will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free.

We may update the app and these terms as Devote evolves. If we make material changes we'll let you know in-app or by email; continuing to use Devote after that means you accept the updated terms.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Devote is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data, arising from your use of the app. Devote is a study aid — it does not guarantee any academic result.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana, and any disputes will be handled by the courts of Ghana.
